Christchurch Wimborne Methodist Circuit

The Christchurch and Wimborne Methodist Circuit appointed their first youth worker in the Verwood/Holtwood area of Dorset, which has shown great success in meeting with many young people and telling them about Jesus.

We are a Circuit of Methodist churches, 17 in total (but 2 in this project region) most are quite traditional, but one becoming more modern in their approach to worship, which can engage families.

The four churches are led by the Rev. Nigel Deller.

There are numerous children's and families groups set up in the churches and numerous youth clubs in the local middle and upper schools.

Our vision is to have a worker who will support the current youth worker in some of their groups and support the current children's and families activities as well as initiating new groups. We hope that as many people as possible are able to hear the good news of Jesus Christ and respond to the message.

Verwood and Holtwood

At the moment, we currently run:

- 2 Messy Churches
- A Scamps groups for toddlers and families
- Lunch clubs and assemblies in 3 middle schools
- A lunch club and assemblies in an upper school
- Two evangelistic youth clubs based in a youth centre
