TRAINEE YOUTH WORKER COURSE |
| Course Aims Would you like to challenged and equipped for the future? Would you like your passion for youth and ministry to be developed in both theory and practice? Then read on... The SWYM Trainee Youth Worker course includes practical placement based work, support and mentorship and facilitation for a distance learning Bachelor of Theology (BTh) taught by ACOM (see below) for those who have completed Be Transformed. Aiming to develop your strengths and fully equip you for a lifetime of ministry, the material covers key topics (see the course overview below). Facilitators are experts in their field and will inspire you by passing on their experience, skills and knowledge so you can take the message of the Gospel to the young people of the 21st century in engaging and relevant ways. |

Entry Criteria Applicants will be considered who: • have completed Be Transformed, our foundation year • are 21 or turn 21 in the 1st year of the degree or • are 18 and over and have achieved 3 Ds or above at A Level or equivalent |

| Course Outline Based around a practical youth work placement it includes: • Regular meetings with other youth workers for support and encouragement • Pastoral support • Inspirational Bible teaching • Teaching on practical youth work • Group study of a distance learning undergraduate course supported by tutors and speakers at a network hub centre. |

| Accreditation The Bachelor of Theology (BTh) is awarded by the Sydney College of Divinity (SCD). The Australian College of Ministries (ACOM) is a teaching member Institute of SCD and delivers its teaching through distance learning.
