Project History & Affiliations:
The Community Church, Egloskerry have met in Egloskerry Primary School each Sunday for approx. 6 years. We have been affiliated to the Assemblies of God for the last 2 years
Structure & Vision of the Project:
The Church is a family Church led by a Pastor and leadership team. We focus on children and young people but have all ages in the congregation of approx. 60 people.
Our vision is to reach out with the love of Jesus to our community and meet together for worship and teaching
About the location of the Project:
Egloskeery is a small village about 4 miles from the town of Launceston.
The Church brings together people from far flung areas of the countryside as well as a number from Launceston town. The area is predominantly rural
About the youth work of the Project:
1. Sunday School - assisting in the spiritual growth of our 'church' young people, helping them achieve their full potential within the church with solid bible teaching
2. Clubs - Evangelism within 2 community clubs influencing them with Christian morals and values. This is not a quick fix but a long term commitment to each individual by building lifetime relationships
3. Over 16 group - Help in the serach for identity and independence of over 16's understanding the specific challenges of this age group, encouraging them to develop a heart for ministry and service
4. Trethorne Area Youth Event - To provide spiritual food for our own young people and other youth clubs in our area
5. Schools work in Egloskerry and Warnstow Primary School and Launceston College and Budehaven Comprehensive Schools (this to be developed)
