Project History & Affiliations:
St Pancras is an Anglican church - evangelical and charismatic.
We had our first SWYM Traine youth Worker in 2003,our 2nd in 2004/5, and our 3rd in 2006.
Structure & Vision of the Project:
a) encourage young people within St Pancras to come to a living faith in the Lord Jesus and grow in Christian discipleship - by sharing in leadership of the 11's - 14's Sunday morning group and leading the 14's - 18's Sunday evening group.
b) lead the weekly 11's -14's youth club for the St Pancras young people, their friends and young people from the community, providing opportunity for outreach.
c) share with the YMCA Christian Youth worker in sharing Christian truth within the local Community College, through R.E. lessons, youth alpha and developing a Christian Union.
About the location of the Project:
In St Pancras Parish which covers Peenycross, Chaucer Way, parts of Peverell, Manadon and Hartley in Plymouth.
About the youth work of the Project:
We are seeking to encourage those aged 11+ in age in faith/come to a living in the Lord Jesus; to reach out with the Gospel to young people in the community, by means of the youth club and by taking up and creating opportunities for ministry in the local community college. The latter ministry is undertaken jointly with the YMCA Christian Youth Worker.
We are seeking to begin a Christian Union in the Community College.
