Project History & Affiliations:
Christian Resources (CRP) have been working in Plymouth for about 30 years set up by
Mike Law to resource Christian schools work in the city. The project is inter-denominational.
The project employs a secondary school's development worker and a special educational
worker as well as runs a resource centre selling and supplying books and other resources to schools, projects and churches across the south west.
Structure & Vision of the Project:
The vision of CRP is ultimately to see Christian youth workers in all the schools in Plymouth as well as to resource and build unity in youth work across the city and surrounding areas in order that the good news of the gospel is demonstrated to all young people in the city.
About the location of the Project:
The ministry is based in Plymouth and covers the city and outlying areas such as Tavistock, Saltash and Ivybridge (basically those towns and villages that look to Plymouth)
About the youth work of the Project:
The main focus is on schools work, all ages, so anything from lessons, assemblies and CU's to projects, support work and small group work. Alongside this are a number of city-wide inter church projects such as a bi-monthly youth worship event, social action projects and community based work. The hope is to develop work in schools, especially linking secondary and primary schools together and linking churches, communities and schools. We work in partnership with SWYM already and a number of churches across the city.
