About the East Area

The East Area covers a huge expanse, overlapping parts of 3 counties: Devon, Dorset and Somerset. The area follows the Jurassic Coast between Exmouth and Bridport, incorporating many small and picturesque villages such as Ottery St Mary and Beer, larger towns of Sidmouth and Chard, and the beautiful rolling countryside in between.

The area holds many pleasures to discover, from castles and traditional cottages to beautiful English gardens; and plenty of countryside to explore including some tremendous beaches and stunning walks along miles of coastal paths. In summer, tourists are attracted to the area's beauty and tranquility and the home-made foods and specialties like Cream Tea, home made Fudge or Chutneys are certainly not to be missed.
