Paul Friend - Director

Hello my name is Paul Friend. I was brought up in the South West and have a passion for this part of the country and seeing young people from across this region come to know Christ and be transformed into the image of Christ. I have been with SWYM for 6 years and as Director seek to see God work both through SWYM and other organisations in the South West eabling the region to be changed for God's glory.


Irve Griffiths - Training Team Leader

My name is Irve Griffiths, I’m married with four girls and based in Lyme Regis. I work half time for SWYM running the training programme and the other ‘half’ of my life as the Youth worker for a local Anglican church. I’ve been involved in youth work all my life, but full-time over the last four years, previously being employed as a fundraiser and before that a (not very good) musician!


Louise Prockter - SWYM Administrator

My name is Louise and I have been involved with SWYM since 1999 doing youthwork in a number of locations including Tavistock and Buckfastleigh, where I was particularly interested in detached and outreach work. I am now working with Kath in the office doing recruitment, conference and camps administration as well as being a full time mum to Maddie and wife to John.


Claire Wigg - BTh Tutor

Hello, my name is Clair Wigg and I am part of the training team within SWYM. I trained initially with SWYM in 1998 and have continued working with youth since then. After spending two years in the USA I have now moved back to the South West where I work part time as a youth worker for the local church running both outreach and discipleship groups as well as enjoying my responsibilities within SWYM.


Lorna Savage - North Area Co-ordinator & Supporters Co-ordinator & Foundation Year

I joined SWYM in 2003 and worked for the Youth Project in Shirehampton, Bristol for 2 years doing various schools and church youth work. Previous to this I spent 4 years in Loughborough studying for a degree in Geography and Sports Science (bit random, and nothing to do with Youth Work!) then did a Discipleship training school with YWAM. Began following Christ from 18, in first year at Uni and not looked back! I love to play games, esp Scrabble (I'm really not a nerd!) and enjoy Netball and reading too! My current passion is to see young people know their value in God's eyes and know themselves not as who they think they should be but as who they truly are.


Jeff Jacobson - Somerset Area Co-ordinator

Hi, my name’s Jeff Jacobson, I grew up on Vancouver Island in Canada, and came over to England two years ago to do youth work in Yeovil. I’m still there co-managing a youth café and responsible for the first-years on the Urban Warriors team. My desire for the youth in Yeovil and the youth workers in SWYM is that they would get a deep love for the Word of God and encounter God through it. I want to see Christ proclaimed in the South West, that Jesus would be seen as supreme in all things, for His glory and our ultimate joy!


Kath Entrican - Central Area Co-ordinator & Admin Team Leader

Hi I'm Kath Entrican. I am married to a landscape photographer called Dave. I have lived in Bristol all my life until my recent move to Exeter, to look after the administration side of things at the SWYM office. The other part of my job is an area coordinator which involves lots of cups of coffee with youth workers and church leaders :-) . I have a passion to see young people grow in the faith and pass it on to their mates.


Magnus Proctor - North Devon Area Consultant

Magnus, married to Leah with two children Matt and Jennifer. Moved to the South West 4 years ago as church pastor in Mid-Devon before moving to Barnstaple where I work as ND Area coordinator for SWYM and part-time accountant. I also spend time at a young peoples rehabiliation centre. My accent betrays me - I am a Geordie and avid Newcastle United supporter but have learned to overcome that! My passion is to see young people come to know Jesus in a real and powerful way and look for all possible opportunities to fulfill this.


Kev Stuckey - Area Co-ordinator Team Leader & East Area Co-ordinator

Hi I’m Kev, I joined the SWYM leadership team September ’06. I live in lovely Chard with my wife Dorit (who is a wonderful cook!) and have been doing youth work for the last 6 years. I work part time for Social Services, Adults with learning difficulties, which I love! I am also part of my home church leadership team. I enjoy working out (sometimes), taking the occasional run… and eating (did I mention that my wife is a fantastic cook?). My heart is that Gods people would come to maturity in Christ, using their gifts and abilities for His glory.


Michael 'Tiff' Tiffany - South Area Co-ordinator

Hi my name is Tiff, and I am married to Suzy and have a little boy called Harry. We live in Plymouth and I work part time in a local school as well as working for SWYM. I have been involved in youth work for over 15 years in a number of different roles around the country.


Mark Lawrence - West Area Co-ordinator

Hi my name is Mark, and I orginally come from Yate, near Bristol. I'm married to Kat and we have recently moved to Plymouth to take up the role of West Area Co-ordinator. This is a joint role with Christian Resources Project in Plymouth.


Grace Rowe - Cornwall Area Co-ordinator

Hi I'm Grace. I work for SWYM and St. Austell Parish and lead a schools work called The Joshua Project. I am a Cornish girl only leaving the county to go to University and to complete the SWYM foundation year; my heart is firmly set in Cornwall! My passion and desire is to walk in God's ways, and to see young people won for Gods Kingdom. I love camps and adventures and love the way God meets with us where we are at. I currently live in St. Austell (Eden Project world!) with my family and dog.
