Paul Friend - Director

Hello my name is Paul Friend. I was brought up in the South West and have a passion for this region and seeing young people from across this region come to know Christ and be transformed into his image. I'm also an elder in our local church and enjoy all sport and films. I have been with SWYM since 1999 and as Director seek to enable SWYM to be as effective as possible at reaching young people.

Kev Stuckey - Area Co Team Leader & Somerset Area Co Ordinator

Hi I'm Kev, I live in South Somerset with my wife Dorit (who is a wonderful cook!) and 2 children. I have been doing youth work for the past 10 years or so and am a volunteer youth leader in our church. I joined the SWYM staff team in September 06. For relaxation I enjoy walking, cycling, DIY and time with my friends and family. My heart is that Gods people would come to maturity in Christ, using their gifts and talents for His glory.

Jo Friend - Training Team Leader

Hi I'm Jo and I'm married to Paul and live in Woodbury just outside Exeter with our 2 boys. I am originally from Biggleswade in Bedfordshire and enjoy reading and walking in the Devon countryside. I am passionate about young people and training youth workers to be effective in reaching young people for Christ.

Kath Entrican - Admin Team Leader & Central Area Co ordinator

Hello my name is Kath. I have a passion to see young people become Christians in order to have the best life they can possibly have and to pass it on to their friends. I’m married to Dave who is a photographer and we live in Exeter. I started working for SWYM in 2002 in Bristol and moved to Devon in 2005. I’m area coordinator for Central Devon and look after the administration side of things at the SWYM office.

Dorit Stuckey - Foundation Year Tutor

Hi, I am Dorit and I am originally from Germany but have been living and working in England since 2001. I am married to Kev and we have 2 beautiful children. After working with Connect in Mid Devon doing schools and youth work, I spent one year travelling with YWAM. I returned to England to continue working with SWYM, where I now head up the Foundation Year. In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking lovely dinners and cakes for my family and a bit of gardening. My passion is to see people whole, discipled and transformed into His image, living a life worthy of the calling that they have received.

Clair Wigg - BTh Tutor

Hello, I'm Clair and I am part of the training team within SWYM. I trained initially with SWYM in 1998 and have continued working with youth since then. After spending two years in the USA I have now moved back to the South West where I work part time as a youth worker for the local church running both outreach and discipleship groups as well as enjoying my responsibilities within SWYM.

Tim Moyler - South Area Co-ordinator

Hi! I'm Tim. In 2000 I started working with Agapé in London, helping churches turn inside out. Since 2008, I am now also doing this in Devon while helping out at SWYM. Angie and I have three amazing boys; Dan, Nathan & Reuben. My passion is to see Jesus-followers become confident in helping others discover and follow Jesus too.

Kath Smith - North Area Co-ordinator and Engage Tutor (Maternity Cover)

Hi I'm Kath Smith. I'm married to Rob and live in Bristol. I have just finished training as a Counsellor and am coming back to my youth work roots to help cover a maternity leave.

Graham Adamson - Cornwall Area Co-ordinator

Hi I'm Graham and I live in Camborne with my wife Mej-Brit. I came to faith at a SWYM Camp in 1997 and after training with SWYM was a youth pastor in germany. Now I'm back in the South-West and passionate about Cornwall coming to know Jesus!

Mike Getley - West Area Co-ordinator

Hi my name is Mike, and I am orginally from Watford. I have spent most of my life in ministry working with Open Air Campaigners as well in church leadership. I am now working for Christian Resources Project and SWYM overseeing the work in and around Plymouth.

Ray Thomas - Rise Up Co-ordinator

Hi I'm Ray and I'm married to Becky and we live in St Ives with our daughter Cantara. I have a passion for mentoring and releasing young people. I love fishing and and spending time with my family.

Alison Corney - EVS Administrator

Hi I'm Alison and I live in Exmouth with my husband Russell and two children Sam and Emma. I joined SWYM in 2010 and in my spare time love gardening and playing golf.

Cat Ghiorocan - Administrator

Hi I'm Cat and I live in Exeter with my husband Alex. I have spent five years in Romania serving at an Orphanage and love meeting people from different cultures. In my spare time I like being creative and doing crafty things and spending time with my family and friends.

Lorna Savage - North Area Co-ordinator & Youth Work Academy Tutor (On Maternity Leave)

Hi, I’m Lorna and I live in Bristol with my husband Nigel and our lazy cat Tigger! I have been involved with SWYM since 2003, being a trainee for 2 years of that. My role now enables me to meet and network with many churches and youth workers across Bristol, working with young people and I love it! When not doing that, I also help churches engage with their local schools, providing resources and training. Found a recent love of gardening and Zumba (for those who know what that is)!
