Young people on mission

Within SWYM we recognize the importance of international mission and therefore create opportunities for young people to go on short term mission trips. Being able to take young people overseas can give them a glimpse of life outside of their current experience which can be really helpful in developing their faith. In the past we have taken trips to Uganda, Kenya and Germany.

Mission as part of SWYM Training

There are also a number of opportunities for SWYM trainees to travel overseas on mission. Seeing Christianity lived out in another culture challenges the trainee's own faith and they tend to come back with a fresh excitement and passion for the gospel. There are currently opportunities to go to Africa, and the possibly of going to Russia, Brazil or Germany in the future.

Mission costs are not covered by the trainees ministry partner, but need to be raised by the trainee themselves. The average cost of a mission to Africa is usually £1000.
